After a come-from-behind 34–31 victory in Carolina to advance past the Wild Card round, the Los Angeles Rams now turn their attention to the Divisional Round as they travel to Chicago to face the Bears. With a chance to earn a spot in the NFC Championship Game, much of the discussion has centered on how the Rams will handle the cold and unpredictable weather in the Windy City.
For Los Angeles, however, adverse weather conditions are nothing new. The Rams were just one play away from completing a comeback in last season’s snow-filled Divisional Round matchup against the Eagles in Philadelphia. That experience has helped prepare the team for another postseason game in challenging conditions, and the Rams are embracing the opportunity to compete in a different environment.
“To be able to recognize that moment and learn from it is important,” wide receiver Puka Nacua said. “It’s a similar situation to what we experienced last year in Philly. We’re embracing the challenge of playing in whatever weather Chicago brings.”
The Rams also stressed that strong execution can overcome difficult conditions. Nacua noted that the team’s previous experience in cold-weather games has reinforced their confidence in sticking to their game plan.
“Our experience allows us to continue getting better,” Nacua said. “We know we can execute, even in tough weather, based on the cold-weather games we’ve already played.”
Los Angeles will head to Chicago for the Divisional Round matchup against the Bears, aiming to punch its ticket to the NFC Conference Championship.
