Super Bowl Expectations Rise, but Rams Remain Focused on the Present

LOS ANGELES- It was clear heading into the offseason that the Los Angeles Rams were already the Super Bowl betting favorites, especially with the additions of Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson to an already deep defensive group.
Then they traded for Myles Garrett, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, who joins a defensive line that is already headlined by Kobie Turner and Poona Ford.
And with an Aaron Donald return looming at this point, those odds of hoisting the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season have only increased.
But for the newest Ram, it all starts at Training Camp, with an emphasis on taking things day by day.
“We don’t particularly care about what’s being said,” said Garrett. “At the end of the day, you have to ignore the noise.”
For Garrett, communication about expectations will be discussed among the team, though the mindset remains the same.
“We’ll talk about the Super Bowl and our goals and how we plan to get there, but it’ll always be one game at a time, one day at a time.”
Although this Rams’ team feels different compared to previous seasons, communication remains the running theme among the organization, something that star receiver Puka Nacua has mentioned from the beginning of training camp.
“I think from Day 1 we hit the ground rolling,” said Nacua. “The continuity between the team has been there. It’s been really fun to have that communication and see the growth that we’ve had in our room.”
While the outside noise continues to grow louder, the Rams say their approach remains the same as they continue to work towards the start of a potentially promising season.
